Grand Valley Tour Highlights...

Our tour begins in Colorado's Western Slope region. Known as the center of Colorado's wine country, Grand Junction is a beautiful area with unparalleled views of dramatic red rock. The Colorado National Monument offers panoramic views and wide variety of outdoor activities. 

As the tour moves along, we will head towards MOAB the cycling hub of Utah. You will experience unforgettable natural views of mountains, rivers, rock formations, wildlife all from the seat of your bicycle.

Travel Arrangements...

This tour is a full loop and you should fly into and out of Grand Junction Regional Airport. Shuttles will be available to and from the airport to our first overnight location at the Grand Vista Hotel in Grand Junction CO.

This hotel is located just a few minutes from the Grand Junction airport. A shuttle provided by the hotel will be waiting to pick you up. Please coordinate arrival and departure travel plans with the A-team so we can ensure a shuttle is available when needed.

If you plan on driving, meet the group at the Grand Vista Hotel. Since this tour starts and ends in the same location, you can park your car at The Grand Vista Hotel and leave it parked there for the week.

What kind of bike should I bring?

  • We recommend bringing a road bike or performance hybrid. All riding will be done on paved surfaces.

Can I drive my car to the start point?

  • This tour is a full circle therefore we will begin and end at the same location. You are welcome to drive and long term park your car at our first and last overnight location. 

What if I can't ride the whole thing?

  • If you have concerns about the daily mileage or elevation, we are there with you every pedal stroke of the way. With daily on-road van support and SAG stops, you are never left stranded!

Day 0: Grand Junction Airport Pickup

Day 1 : Grand Junction CO to Castle Valley UT

*We will start the day with breakfast and then get in the shuttle and depart Grand Junction for the start of our ride. Today's ride will follow a portion of the Colorado and including the once historic Dewey Suspension Bridge that burnt down in 2008. The day's ride ends in the beautiful Castle Valley.* 


Day 2 - Castle Valley UT to MOAB UT

*After a delicious breakfast at the Castle Valley Inn Bed and Breakfast we will head out towards MOAB, the cycling hub of Utah. Today is a challenging ride day with a great deal of climbing. You will make your way up the La Sal Mountain Loop which features switchbacks and beautiful views. All your hard work pays off with a huge downhill at the end of the day, serpentining your way down to MOAB.*


Day 3 - MOAB Out and Back

*Today is your choice, you can relax and hang around the hotel or do an out and back ride around MOAB. If you choose to ride, you will head out on a new bike path that connects MOAB to Arches National park and the Dead Horse Byway. Along your way you will discover scenic red rock canyons and amazing views. The views from Dead Horse Point are unforgettable. There you will find panoramic views, looking over the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park.*


Day 4 - MOAB to LaSal UT

*Getting back on the road, we will head south towards LaSal Utah. The road today will show off a whole other side to the mountains as we work our way back towards Grand Junction. At the end of todays ride, you will be shuttled back to MOAB for one more night.*


Day 5 - LaSal UT to Naturita UT

*After our last breakfast in MOAB, we will shuttle back to La Sal to begin the day's ride. Today you will be heading back to Colorado through Paradox Valle. You will be surrounded by huge red cliffs and gorgeous scenery.*


Day 6 - Naturita UT to Gateway CO

*On the second to last day of the tour we will head towards Gateway CO. You will enjoy beautiful views of the San Juan Mountains and other unique rock formations along the way. Gateway Colorado is home to the Gateway Automobile Museum. For a small fee you can experience their devotion "to understanding and celebrating the history, science, art and social impact of the American car. After today's ride, you will be shuttled back to Naturita to the Rimrock Hotel. 


Day 7 - Gateway CO to Grand Junction CO

  • Shuttle back to Gateway CO for daily ride with SAG support

*After breakfast and a shuttle ride back to Gateway, you will enjoy your last riding day. Continuing yesterdays route along the Unaweep Tabeguache Scenic Byway, we make it back to Grand Junction for our final night of the tour. We will enjoy a group dinner to celebrate our new friends and successful week!
